Are you struggling to move your member of Congress into action? Do they sometimes say one thing but do another?  Do you often find yourself butting heads with them or feeling frustrated by their inaction or resistance? Then this is the workshop for you! Learn the basics of “Motivational Interviewing,” a collaborative communication style intended to help people build motivation for change and take action. We’ll cover the basics of what drives motivation, learn basic motivational interviewing skills, and practice using those skills with our members of Congress through roleplays. We’ll talk about how to fit in techniques into lobby meetings, phone calls, and even emails.
