FY25 Global Appropriations Memos

Every year, Congress decides how to spend the money in the U.S. federal budget. RESULTS urges our lawmakers to support issues that build the foundation to end poverty– health, education, and economic opportunity. These annual global poverty appropriations memos can be used to support your spending requests of your members of Congress. And the cheat sheets below have the information you need to fill out individual appropriations forms for your members of Congress.

A chart showing that the FY24 enacted numbers were $915 million for USAID Maternal and Child Health, of which $300 million for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; $165 million for USAID Nutrition; $394.5 million for USAID Tuberculosis; $1.65 billion for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria; and $922 million for USAID Basic Education, of which $121.6 million for the Global Partnership for Education. And RESULTS' FY25 requests are $1.15 billion for USAID Maternal and Child Health, of which $340 million for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; $300 million for USAID Nutrition; $1 billion for USAID Tuberculosis; $1.65 billion for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria; and $1.15 billion for USAID Basic Education, of which $200 million for the Global Partnership for Education.
