October 2023: Generate media to expand the CTC

After a record reduction of child poverty in the U.S. in 2021, recent U.S. Census data shows that in 2022, child poverty more than doubled. 2022 was also the year the expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) expired. Estimates are that 3 million children fell into poverty when their families lost the CTC. Our children deserve better. Write a letter to the editor today telling Congress that any tax bill they try to pass this year must include an expansion of the CTC for families with low income. (Word version)
