Global Allies Program: Partners Ending Poverty with RESULTS (July 2024 Webinar)

At the July Global Allies Program Webinar we shared updates on FY25 Appropriations as well as the latest from the Gavi Global Forum in Paris. At the pre-pledging event Gavi, in partnership with the African Union, and the French Republic, presented the investment case and strategy for Gavi 6.0 and a plan to protect 500 million children and save more than 8 million lives between 2026 and 2030. This also included the launch of the African Vaccine Manufacturing Accelerator (AVMA) where the African Union aims to produce 60% of the continents’ vaccines by 2040. The U.S. set a historic pledge of $1.58 billion over 5 years – demonstrating that your advocacy has made a difference. We must continue until Congress delivers!
