Strengthen and expand SNAP (formerly known as food stamps), which helps put food on the table for more than 40 million Americans. We push back against any policy proposals that would harm or undermine the program.
Ensure that Medicaid, a federal health insurance program that provides free or low-cost health care for 1 in 5 people in the United States, stays fully funded and available to those who need it.

At a time when the number of people served at food banks has increased more than 50 percent from a year ago, it is jarring to remember that only 1 out of every 10 grocery bags that feed people who are hungry come from charitable organizations. The rest comes from federal nutrition programs. Of the federal nutrition programs with the highest participation rates, the Supplemental Nutrition Program (SNAP) casts the widest net.

United in action at the RESULTS virtual conference
