Today more than 40 members of the RESULTS REAL Change Fellowship are on Capitol Hill, voicing their support for global health and education and urging Congress to support bipartisan proposals to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) for childless workers. Right now, low-wage American workers that do not have children in the home are the one population that is taxed into poverty. House Speaker Paul Ryan and President Obama have proposed to expand the EITC, an important first step to remedy this situation.
