- Congress: Reject any new rescissions
In July, Congress approved a rescissions package from the Trump Administration to renege over $8 billion in foreign aid funding. This despite the fact that nearly 300,000 children around the world have died as a results of recent foreign aid cuts. Tell your members of Congress to quickly reject any new rescissions requests. - Congress: Prioritize the Global Fund this year
Since 2002, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria has helped save 65 million lives. More people than ever have access to HIV treatment, TB care, and malaria prevention tools like insecticide-treated nets—progress made possible by the Global Fund. Send an email urging your members of Congress to make the Global Fund a priority this year.
