Summer 2025: Tell Congress to protect SNAP
SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is a proven and effective way to reduce hunger and help families afford food. In every state, SNAP supports children, seniors, and low-wage workers while also benefiting local grocery stores and farmers. SNAP provides 40 million people per month, nearly half of them children, the resources they need to buy food. Cuts to SNAP would increase hardship for millions and hurt communities across the country.
Congress is now debating funding decisions that could put SNAP at risk. This is a critical time to speak up. Use this action sheet to write a letter urging lawmakers to protect SNAP and maintain access to nutrition support for the people who need it most. (Word version)
Use our Action Workshop Agenda (Word version) to host a meeting where you can inspire others to action in your community.
