Elections are one of the most important times to make our values visible. Conversations happening now shape what people believe is possible and what our leaders prioritize after the election. As harmful narratives about poverty grow louder, RESULTS advocates will respond by sharing our stories, strengthening relationships, engaging our communities, and making our values visible in the places that matter most.

Using media to hold lawmakers accountable
Media is a powerful tool in educating, influencing, and holding lawmakers accountable. RESULTS volunteers have long generated hundreds of media pieces each year urging Congress to prioritize ending poverty.

Meeting with congressional offices on the issues we care about
RESULTS’ strength has always rested in the relationships we build with members of Congress and their staff. By meeting with them regularly, we can inform and influence their decisions on policies that will bring an end to poverty.
