September 2023 U.S. Policy Forum: Understanding the 2022 Census poverty data

According to the U.S. Census, child poverty more than doubled in 2022, with more than 5 million children falling below the poverty line. 3 million of those children are now living in poverty because Congress chose to let the 2021 expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) expire.
