September 2022 U.S. Poverty Policy Forum: Making the conservative case for the CTC

On this month’s U.S. Poverty Policy Forum, David Plasterer, RESULTS Senior Policy Associate, discussed how to make the best pitch for expanding the Child Tax Credit to conservative lawmakers. With new poverty data showing that child poverty dropped 46 percent in 2021 – primarily due to the CTC – it is imperative that Congress find a way to expand the CTC before the end of this year.
