Bring “Amplify Every Voice” to DC in July!
We are delighted to have so many advocates coming to DC for the July 12-14 National Conference. Obviously, not everyone active in our network can attend. But that doesn’t mean everyone can’t be part of the excitement and impact.
One of the goals of our Amplify Every Voice media campaign is to have every group activate a community partner in writing. Then their published letters to the editor can be added to the stacks of media conference attendees can bring to lobby meetings on Advocacy Day (the final day of the conference). These media pieces will make an impression when delivered to congressional offices. We’re quickly closing in on 200 pieces of media published. Far more have been submitted (which is where it all starts!). Can you ask people from your action networks, neighborhoods, faith communities, or ally groups to add the count? That’s an easy way to build community power!
Not sure where to start? Check out publications from around our network as inspiration and encouragement. Share our online templates as starting places. This is an excellent time to be writing, using recent news items to push for support of foreign aid, protecting food assistance, and investing in housing. Write and submit today so that we can quickly surpass 200 media hits. Please let RESULTS staffer Sarah Leone every time you or a group ally submit a letter to a media outlet. If you get published, please report it via our form. Then celebrate a job well done!

How Will You Build Power Before the National Conference?
The National Conference is almost here. While some will travel to Washington, DC, we all have an opportunity to strengthen our advocacy and build power at home.
Every voice elevated, story shared, and person invited into action strengthens our power. When advocates walk into congressional offices in July, they will carry the voices of their communities with them.
As you think about the next few weeks, consider these questions:
Envision. What kind of community do you want your advocacy to create? Use our Community Mapping Guide to identify people, groups, and connections that can bring that vision to life.
Invite. Who in your network already shares our values? Friends, family, faith communities, partner organizations, and former advocates can all be part of this moment. Explore our Action Center for easy ways to invite others to take action alongside you.
Act. What will you do together? Host a small writing gathering, invite someone to submit a letter to the editor, collect stories for lobby meetings, or explore our National Conference Action Guide for additional ideas.
And if there are kids in your life, check out the ABC Coalition’s Color for a Cause packet — a fun and creative way for children to share messages about what makes them feel safe, happy, and hopeful.
Don’t forget to tell us what you’re doing! Submit an outreach report so we can celebrate your efforts and share ideas across the network. Want more inspiration and support? Contact Amanda Beals to get connected to the RESULTS Power Building community.
We have a match!
When you donate to RESULTS today, your gift for our work in 2026 will go twice as far. An anonymous donor will match all gifts to RESULTS Educational Fund up to $50,000. If you sign up to become a new monthly donor or increase your current monthly donation, the donor will triple the first month’s gift. Help fund the fight against poverty. Donate today!
TL;DR (too long; didn’t read): Reach out to allies and friends to contribute to the Amplify Every Voice media campaign. Book National Conference Advocacy Day meetings. Report each scheduled meeting via our online form. Plan to attend continuing issue prep webinars for National Conference Advocacy Day. Utilize our Community Mapping Guide to broaden the depth and breadth of your advocacy group. Review our National Conference Action Guide for additional ideas to include your wider network in the excitement and impact of the National Conference.
