Meet this month to plan for the year
2025 promises to be full of challenges, opportunities, and surprises. The best way to be ready is to plan ahead. RESULTS groups do this every year through group planning. Groups meet annually to set goals in their advocacy work and discuss how best to achieve those goals. Group planning is a key ingredient in reaching our goal of ending poverty. Please schedule your local RESULTS group’s planning meeting. Find materials on the “Working with Your RESULTS Group” page of our website. Please set a goal to complete your 2025 Roadmap and Group Roster by January 15.
Schedule lobby meetings for the First 100 Days
This weekend’s RESULTS National Webinar is the official kickoff of our First 100 Days lobbying push as part of the 2025 Action and Allies campaign. The focus is to meet with all 100 senators and maximal House members in the new Congress about global health, child poverty, hunger, and practical solutions to poverty. Meeting with congressional offices is the most influential way to impact policy. Once your group has completed your 2025 group planning, focus next on requesting lobby meetings for your members of Congress. Next week, we’ll have a sample meeting request email template. So, start planning which lobby meetings you want to book and prepare to submit your first requests soon. Ask for meetings starting in early February. And be sure to join this weekend’s RESULTS National Webinar to learn more about the First 100 Days push.
TL;DR (too long; didn’t read): Remember to register for the RESULTS National webinar with Linda Mafu this Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET. And help start 2025 off right by completing your 2025 Group Roadmaps!
