Group planning leads to group success!
Group planning is underway! We want to support your group to complete plans for a dynamic year. Annual planning allows your group to clarify your group roster, group roles, and advocacy aspirations. As we begin our First 100 Days lobby push, your plans will help you determine what meetings you wish to schedule with your legislators. If you haven’t already, please schedule your local RESULTS group’s planning meeting in January. Find materials on the “Working with Your RESULTS Group” page of our website. Please set a goal to complete your 2025 Roadmap and Group Roster by the end of the month.
Book your First 100 Days lobby meetings
On the January National Webinar, we officially kicked off the 2025 Action and Allies campaign. This year more than ever, consistent action and new allies will be critical to advancing the movement to end poverty. That starts with our First 100 Days lobby push. Every member of Congress can be an ally in our movement, but only if they hear from you. Once you’re done with 2025 group planning, please determine which lobby meetings you want to book and submit your first requests now. The 2025 Action and Allies campaign page has resources to help you, including a sample meeting request email template. Ask for meetings starting in early February. After booking, contact Katie Fleischer to schedule a staff lobby prep meeting with your group.
Register for the February 1 National Webinar
On February 1, we will welcome former Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to the RESULTS National Webinar. It will be a thrill to have him with us. He’ll discuss how best to advocate on our issues in the new Congress. We’ll also share best practices for having effective lobby meetings with your members of Congress. Register today for what will be a vibrant webinar. And be sure to watch the inspiring discussion with the Global Fund’s Linda Mafu and background on our 2025 campaigns from the January National Webinar.
