June 2023: Urge Congress to support a Renter Tax Credit

With the House of Representatives possibly taking up a tax bill this summer, it is imperative they prioritize helping households struggling with the high cost of rent. The U.S. tax code provides numerous tax breaks to help American homeowners, but almost nothing to the 44 million people who rent. Write letters to your members of Congress urging them to use the tax code to enact a Renter Tax Credit that would help renters with low incomes stay housed. (Word version)
