Schedule Face-to-Face Meetings with Your Members of Congress During an Upcoming Recess
Congress will play a critical role in ensuring the U.S. remains fully committed to fighting poverty. President Obama needs both support and pressure from Congress to meet his own commitment to make the Millennium Development Goals America’s goals. Call your representative and senators today and schedule a face-to-face meeting in early 2010 to discuss RESULTS priority issues for the coming year. Check out the January Action Sheet and this laser talk for tips on how to request and secure a meeting.
Exciting January Conference Call Saturday!
We’ll begin our 2010 work with a very special guest on our monthly conference call on Saturday, January 9. Representative Nita Lowey (NY-18), the chair of the House Foreign Operations Subcommittee, will be talking about education and foreign aid priorities for 2010. During the call, we’ll also get a preview of our 2010 legislative campaigns and grassroots planning efforts. It will be a terrific way to start off the year. Use this flyer to invite others to join you. If you have a question you’d like to ask her, submit it to Ken Patterson by Friday.
