What is RESULTS?

(Using EPIC format – Engage, Problem, Illustrate, Call)

Engage: I really feel like I’m making a difference in the world with RESULTS. For example, we just finished working on an effort to get an additional 29 million kids into primary school worldwide, and strengthening critical tax policies for low-income working families in the U.S.

State the Problem: Right now, though, we have 58 million kids who should be in primary school who aren’t, and 12 million Americans—including 7 million children—will fall into poverty or deeper into poverty without action by Congress. RESULTS is making a real difference to address poverty-related problems like these.

Illustrate the solution: RESULTS is an advocacy organization that is tackling poverty as a non-partisan issue. We get Congress to make better policy decisions and enact smart, compassionate solutions to poverty. We have groups in over 37 states around the country, and we even have international affiliates. We are trained in developing relationships with our legislators, getting powerful media published, and building community coalitions so that we can help put poverty in the past.
