DFW/RESULTS January 2021 Webinar: First 100 Days
The first DFW advocacy webinar of the year was great. Here is the January 2021 webinar recording and here are the slides.
We need to gear up to influence our members of Congress during the first 100 days of the new Congress. Reaching them now will set the stage for progress over the next two years of the 117th Congress. Between now and May 1 our goals is to work with RESULTS to meet with every Senate office and at least three-fourths of all House offices. We need to put global COVID relief, girls education, and maternal & child health and nutrition on their agendas. We want to build relationships and persistently encourage and support them to take actions that will make a difference for women, girls, and children. That work starts now. Here’s what you can do to get started:
- Read through this blog outlining RESULTS’ 2021 campaigns—the last three issues listed are our global campaigns.
- Register for the First 100 Days Campaign kickoff event on Feb. 6.
- Review RESULTS’ resources on Working with Congress and setting up lobby meetings (some still being updated).
- Write a letter to the editor (the third action is globally focused) in advance of meetings with Congress so you can deliver it in person (virtually).
We will support you in either setting up your own meetings or connecting with RESULTS chapters to work in tandem.
