Homelessness, Housing Affordability, and Home Ownership: The Spectrum of Challenges and Solutions around America’s Housing Crisis
Join RESULTS for this special webinar on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 4pm Eastern.
The presentation will offer insight into a spectrum of challenges and how various stakeholders approach solutions to America’s housing crisis. Register here.
Congress currently is debating a recovery package that would make the largest-ever federal investment in affordable housing for the country’s lowest-income people. Yet even these historic investments wouldn’t solve the massive crises of homelessness and housing instability. Moreover, racist and discriminatory housing policies have contributed to a racial wealth divide that further exacerbates and perpetuates inequitable access to safe, stable, affordable housing.
To address these immense and complicated problems, philanthropists, housing advocates, and others have put forward a plethora of possible solutions.
Join us on December 7 at 4 p.m. Eastern (1 p.m. Pacific) for this hour-long talk to learn more about the housing crisis and the future RESULTS sees for housing advocacy to drive meaningful change. RESULTS’ Michael Santos will draw on his professional background as a housing attorney and policy advocate to give a talk that is rich in context and history.
This event will be hosted and moderated by Ernie Loevinsohn, executive director of the Fund for Global Health and chair of the issues committee of RESULTS’ board of directors. Ernie will offer an overview of the rapid growth of RESULTS’ work to address poverty in the United States and why RESULTS sees advocacy on affordable housing as so important.
This special event is open to you and your guests. If you know others who may be interested, we encourage you to share this invitation with them. We hope you’ll join us! Register here.
