As dedicated advocates, we often need to harness the skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and frustration. Join us to learn and practice these skills at our workshop, “Building Resilience as Advocates, from a Trauma Informed Care Approach,” led by Dr. Khalila Fordham, Psy. D. and Dr. Paolo Laraño, Psy. D., licensed psychologists and founders of The Greenhouse Foundation. Register for the webinar here.
This dynamic, engaging, and interactive workshop invites you to further develop resilience while facing the difficulties of advocacy work from a trauma-informed perspective. Participants can build upon previously learned effective coping strategies that are essential for surviving in today’s chaotic world. Further, you will have the opportunity to practice key skills needed to develop and polish de-escalation conflict resolution tactics for use in the field as well as in daily life. This combination of self-care and interpersonal skills training will improve even the most experienced advocates’ talents for sustaining emotional stamina and maintaining effective engagement or persuasion strategies when discussing difficult topics.
