Prerequisites: It is recommended to attend Diversity & Inclusion 101, Anti-Oppression 201: Structural Racism, and Oppression: The Missing Perspectives, or have some significant background in anti-racism and implicit bias work before attending this workshop. Learn more about our anti-oppression workshop offerings here.
Upon completing all three anti-oppression workshops, we will deepen the application of our learning through applied learning. Join us for the Tribunal on Residential Segregation and Environmental Racism, where participants will play various roles in analyzing the transformation of legal Jim-Crow segregation into the geographic segregation of affluent white suburbs and impoverished inner-city segregated areas, including the evidence of continuing racial disparities demonstrating that inequality is actively perpetuated today. Note: RESULTS anti-oppression workshops and webinars are not recorded, so we encourage you to attend if you register. The Anti-Oppression workshops listed above limit 40 participants per session. Please register to reserve your spot! In the case that you are unable to attend, please be sure to cancel to release your spot for another volunteer. If you have any questions, please contact Karyne Bury ([email protected]).
