Pacific advocates center lived experience and their community strength

In October of 2024, RESULTS advocates and guests from all over the Pacific (including RESULTS Canada) came together with intention. In a setting known for stirring natural beauty, we honored our connection and strength in the movement to end poverty. We also learned from one another, hearing from leaders in our midst with lived experience of our issues. We laughed, cried, snacked, and even boogied together. Ultimately, we all emerged recommitted to our vision of a world beyond poverty. Below is a series of photos showing the power of our community in action.

David came away from the conference interested in joining a RESULTS group for the first time.

In the center of the room is Mariam James, founder of Madam Munchie Fitness, and daughter of co-Group Leader of RESULTS Bremerton Diana Tyree-Eddy. Mariam led advocates in a round of safe stretches to help loosen up stiff muscles from session sitting. This was a great activity as it allowed advocates to center themselves as they prepared for the remaining sessions.

Everyone felt ready to carry forth the work as we head into the election and beyond.
