Special advance film screening of Bending the Arc

Watch Bending the Arc, a moving documentary about the fight for better global health, in a special advance film screening just for conference attendees. Learn about the founding and impact of Partners in Health, an organization providing long-term care for patients in their homes and communities. Follow the journeys of people all over the world determined to fight disease and poverty. We’ll also be joined by Dr. Joia Mukherjee and Dr. Jim Yong Kim – both featured in the documentary!

The Last Mile: A Conversation with Dr. Jim Yong Kim and Sir Fazle Abed

Join a dialogue with Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank, and Sir Fazle Abed, the internationally renowned founder of BRAC, on what it will take to reach the end of extreme poverty. BRAC has been a pioneer in reaching vulnerable families including those living in ultra poverty with opportunities to expand livelihoods, access to healthcare and nutrition, and education. The World Bank has set the global goal to also address these challenging obstacles by 2030. It is critical to understand the path ahead through to the last mile.
