Give BIG to RESULTS May 2nd!
BIG news in fundraising! All day Wednesday, May 2, your gift to the RESULTS Educational Fund will have a greater impact. Thanks to the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG campaign, gifts to RESULTS of any size will be stretched.
Each donation made to the more than 1,300 nonprofit organizations profiled on The Seattle Foundation’s website between midnight and midnight (Pacific Time) on May 2, 2012, will receive a pro-rated portion of the matching funds or “stretch” pool. The amount of the “stretch” depends on the size of the stretch pool and how much money is raised in donations overall on GiveBIG day.
So, if RESULTS receives 3 percent of the total donations during GiveBIG, then RESULTS will also receive 3 percent of the stretch pool!
Also, any donation will also make you eligible to win a Golden Ticket which would increase your donation by an extra $1,000!
This is a great opportunity to spread the word to donors and action networks. The competitive aspect of the program may appeal to some donors. Other donors especially like to give when their gift will be matched in some way. This also is a great way to promote RESULTS with other prestigious charities and foundations.
Please send this information out to your action networks immediately and give your social media skills a workout as we build up to the big day. We need as many people to know about it as possible so that they are ready to shower us with gifts on May 2 through the Seattle Foundation’s site.

- Between now and May 2, direct your followers to the RESULTS Educational Fund GiveBIG webpage and let them know their dollars will go further toward our lifesaving mission.
- On May 2nd,donate to RESULTS Educational Fundon the Seattle Foundation’s website invite your friends to as well via social media, email and everywhere you can.
