Four Fundraising Ideas You Can Do Right Now

1. Hold an Event (anytime): Whether you’re hosting friends in your living room or a public dinner with a celebrity speaker, we can support you in creating a fundraising event. In addition to raising money, events are great ways to find new partners, build community support, be inspired by speakers, and bring your group closer together. RESULTS can create a branded picture for your Save the Dates (for postcards, email, or social media) and invitations. We can also build a custom website so you can collect donations online. We’ll help you find an appropriate speaker for your event.
2. Friends and Family Campaign (April): Over the course of four weeks, RESULTS groups will ask their friends and family to contribute to RESULTS. You can make your ask with a letter-writing campaign, an online fundraiser, or both. By writing about what motivates us as individuals, we inspire those closest to us to join in our mission to end poverty. Linking this fundraiser to Global Education Week or World Immunization Week can provide your donors a way to participate in those campaigns and learn about our issues, too. RESULTS will provide support materials including donation envelopes, timelines, sample letters, and sample scripts for follow up phone calls.
3. GiveBIG (May 2): A one-day, on-line charitable giving event hosted by the Seattle Foundation. We’ll be one of 1,400 nonprofit organizations profiled the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG website. When your donors give to RESULTS Educational Fund through the GiveBIG website, a percentage of their donation is matched by GiveBIG sponsors. RESULTS will provide social media alerts for grassroots volunteers to post and tweet leading up to the day.
4. Personal Fundraising Website: A fundraising website is a perfect way to make your appeal unique and personal to your potential donors. Donors contribute securely online by credit card on a site that is easily linked to email, facebook, Twitter, or blogs. Customize your site with your story, picture, and a donation thermometer to show your progress toward achieving your fundraising goal. Here are some examples of online fundraisers RESULTS will offer this year:

Celebrations: Ask for donations to RESULTS in lieu of material gifts to you for your birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday or another celebration in your life. This fundraising method is great for individuals.
