Quote of the Week"Optimism is a political act." – Alex Steffen (Thanks to our founder Sam Daley-Harris for bringing us this inspiration!) Saturday National Grassroots Webinar Focused on Our FY18 Appropriations CampaignIt's that time of year . . . to make appropriations requests of our legislators. Each year, every member of Congress has the opportunity to weigh in on our nation’s priorities through the appropriations process. This appropriations season, urge Congress to voice their support on issues that build the foundation to end poverty – health, education, and economic opportunity.
Take a look at our Appropriations page to get one-pagers on all our requests. You will also be able to grab a copy of the brand new February Action Sheet. The action sheet will help you make those requests. It also comes complete with a sample meeting guide for creating an Education and Action meeting for your community so even more people can get in on this critical appropriations work.
