I’m a RESULTS volunteer—will you join me in making a gift to RESULTS?

RESULTS changed my life when I was in high school. That’s when my mom introduced me to David Schubert, a dedicated 25-year volunteer from Houston. He shared the amazing work that RESULTS does to reduce the injustice of poverty in the U.S. and globally, and I was immediately interested. I started volunteering with the Houston RESULTS chapter and continued throughout college. And then I became a RESULTS fellow — boosting my ability to advocate for lifesaving solutions to poverty through RESULTS’ intensive year-long program.

These experiences have enriched my life and shown me that I can make a difference. That together, we can make a difference. And that’s why I became a RESULTS donor.

I want RESULTS to continue to thrive because so many people around the world need it to. There are millions of families who use tools like food support, medical care for diseases fueled by poverty, or maternal health care to ensure women worldwide don’t die during pregnancy or childbirth.

RESULTS has set a goal of raising $110,000 during this giving season. They have a special incentive! This year, four very generous RESULTS supporters created a challenge fund to inspire all of us to dig a little deeper. They will MATCH every dollar we donate up to $110,000. That means our gifts will go twice as far.

If that isn’t incentive enough, donations to RESULTS have incredible leverage. Since RESULTS’ founding, every dollar in support has helped to leverage nearly $2,000 for effective anti-poverty programs and policies! I don’t know any other organization that gives you that kind of return on your donations.

What will RESULTS do with your money? RESULTS volunteers in all 50 states will be trained and supported. We will grow our community of powerful advocates and allied members of Congress. With so many new members of Congress, we’ll need intense support from RESULTS’ staff. With their support, we’ll learn more about the legislative process, anti-poverty policies, organizing, and working with the media to make the best possible impact.

We can’t do our work without RESULTS’ staff. But they can’t do it without our commitment, determination, and passion. And they can’t do it without financial support.

Your gift today will help end the profound injustice of children dying needlessly from malnutrition and lack of common childhood vaccines. We’ll work hard to protect and expand programs like SNAP (food stamps) and the Child Tax Credit, which people in my hometown — and likely yours — depend on to survive and overcome poverty.
