July 2023: Mark two-year anniversary of CTC expansion

In July 2023, the first monthly payment of the expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) went out to families across the country. After just one payment, 3 million children were lifted from poverty. Congress has since let the expanded CTC and monthly payments expire. Write letters to your members of Congress to expand the CTC to families with low income in tax legislation this year.
