Growing the Network

May 26, 2009

Colorado RESULTS partnersIn addition to our partners and activists sitting around the table with us as part of our RESULTS groups, we need vibrant community networks to aid us in creating the political will to end poverty. Our community action networks might consist of:

  • Individuals who do not want to be full-fledged RESULTS activists, but would like to take action on our issues at critical moments.
  • Community “grass-tops” leaders who don’t want to be full-fledged RESULTS activists, but who are willing to meet with decision-makers, write opeds, and use their influence at key moments.
  • Coalition partners who represent other organizations with similar interests and with whom we collaborate to amplify our call to decisions makers for action.
  • Identity groups like faith, ethnic, and racial groups that share a common interest in eliminating poverty.
