Join us for a special extended October National Webinar!
Who Deserves to be Poor? Work and Income Requirements as Tools of Oppression
During this three-hour extended RESULTS National Webinar, we will take a deeper look at our domestic poverty campaigns, particularly how work and income requirements get weaponized as tools of oppression that ultimately preserve poverty.
Participants will…
- Gain understanding of work and income requirements, and how they historically create harm and impact current RESULTS issues.
- Learn more effective ways to educate decision-makers about the harmful nature of these policies through advocacy without perpetuating stereotypes of people living in poverty.
Panel moderated by Michael Santos, Associate Director, U.S. Poverty Policy at RESULTS
Panelists:
- Peggy Bailey, Vice President for Housing and Income Security, Center for Budget and Policy Priorities
- Elisa Minoff, Senior Policy Analyst, Center for the Study of Social Policy
- Aaron Carrillo, Grassroots Board Member and Former Expert on Poverty, RESULTS
