Organizational update
This is a difficult week for RESULTS. Our budget reality means we’re needing to reduce the size of our staff and say goodbye to talented colleagues.
Like many nonprofits working for social change, RESULTS has been navigating a radically changed external context and challenging philanthropic environment – even as our advocacy remains more important than ever. Despite the extraordinary efforts of our team and the continued generosity of our supporters, we are making these changes to ensure our long-term sustainability and impact.
We’ll be losing team members who work behind the scenes to power RESULTS’ mission and others who support our remarkable grassroots. We will miss them deeply. Thank you in advance for supporting our departing colleagues however you may be able.
RESULTS never has and never will take U.S. government funding, to keep our independence as advocates. But the political reality has had real impact on philanthropy as well. We continue to aggressively pursue new funding, but these headwinds are strong. To all of you who have stepped up in this environment to fund us, our partners, and other mission-driven advocacy: we are more grateful than ever.
Despite the immense challenges of this moment, we also know that our advocacy is still making a difference. The staff we’re losing this week have made an important investment in this shared work, and as RESULTS we’re committed to building on it.
For the RESULTS community, this is a very hard time in a very hard year. But we remain deeply committed to our mission and putting democracy in action, when so much is on the line and when so much is still possible. We’ll continue to drive impact against poverty and building local power in communities across the U.S. and around the world, leading bold work for change that is desperately needed.
