RESULTS/RESULTS Educational Fund is seeking nominations for the annual Cameron Duncan Media Award, which recognizes a journalist for outstanding reporting of issues relating to poverty and hunger either domestically or worldwide.

The award honors Cameron Duncan, a former associate executive director of RESULTS/RESULTS Educational Fund who devoted his life to fighting hunger and poverty. Duncan arranged an endowment to RESULTS Educational Fund for an annual media award prior to his death.

The 2010 award (looking back at work from 2010) will be presented at RESULTS/RESULTS Educational Fund’s International Conference, June 19 to 21, 2011, at the Four Points Sheraton in Washington, D.C.

Please consider nominating journalists you have worked with on issues relating to hunger and poverty, or those whom you admire. To nominate a journalist, please send a one to two-paragraph statement and two to five examples of his or her recent work to Blair Hinderliter at [email protected] or at 1730 Rhode Island Ave NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20036.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 6. If you have any questions, please contact Blair Hinderliter at 202-783-4800 x126. Different from previous years, the winner will not be required to accept a cash award and travel to the conference, although that is still preferred.
