Meet the New Members of the Global Team at RESULTS

by Crickett Nicovich, Senior Policy Associate

This summer, RESULTS is pleased to announce several new faces are joining the team in the DC office.

Tony Baker will be our new Education for All Campaign Manager. His recent background includes working with HakiElimu, a Tanzanian civil society organization, conducting education budget analysis and advocacy. Tony has jumped right in by meeting with our UK and Canadian partners in a meeting with senior World Bank officials on his first day.

As we develop the next stage of our education campaign, Tony will continue to work closely with the Global Legislative Team, the Grassroots Team, and RESULTS international affiliates to build a case for government to support basic education policies and funding that help the poorest access services. You can connect with him at [email protected].

Also joining the team is a familiar face for those of you who worked closely with the Global Campaign for Education last year. Allyson Goldsmith will be our new Outreach and Advocacy Associate. Allyson worked previously as an intern for the Global Campaign for Education and RESULTS. More recently she has worked with Americans for Informed Democracy and the Millennium Campus Network organizing student advocacy around global poverty issues. Allyson will start full time in the office on July 5, but has already started working part time remotely from Syracuse as she finishes her master’s degree. She can be reached at [email protected].

Our next exciting addition has worked with RESULTS while at other DC-based organization for several years and brings a expertise in foreign aid reform and education policy to her new position. Allison Grossman will start on June 18 as our new senior legislative associate, working primarily on our legislative campaigns on Education for All and microfinance. Allison comes to us most recently from Save the Children, and has previously worked with Global Action for Children and American Jewish World Service. In previous roles she has worked closely with the Global Campaign for Education, so will be able to jump right into that work. Her email will be [email protected].

And to help us rev up for the International Conference, the Global Legislative Team has two great interns for the summer. Rachel Stelmach from Oberlin College will be working with us on global health issues and Lucy Hardy from the Philadelphia group at Arcadia College will be supporting our education work and youth outreach. They are full of energy and are pumped to attend their first International Conference! You can contact them at [email protected] and [email protected] .

Reach out and get to know our new staff! They will be at the RESULTS International Conference and we hope you will be too!
