Top Action: Ask Your Senators and Representative to Put Child Vaccines Front and CenterIn 30 minutes, you can make a big difference. That's because now there is a resolution supporting Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, in both the Senate and the House. There is also an opportunity for legislators to write to the Obama Administration directly about their support for global immunization. Got 20 Minutes? The November Action Sheet is now available! Ask your legislators to cosponsor H.Res. 688 and S.Res. 578 on Gavi and child vaccines. We have 75 names names on the House resolution and the Senate resolution just launched last week. These are bipartisan resolutions with momentum, but we need your help to get us to our goal of 115 cosponsors on the House version and 30 on the Senate version. We can do this. Let's keep going! Got Another 10 Minutes? Use our Gavi laser talk to call your representative's or senators' offices, ask for the foreign policy aide, and request that the legislators write to President Obama about Gavi. You can use our online action on both resolutions to make that request of your legislators. |

Quote of the Week"This is a real opportunity. The United States has done a great deal, but the fight is far from over. I urge the United States to continue its commitment to immunization by pledging $1 billion for Gavi for the period between 2015-2018. Millions of poor children in the hardest to reach places lack access to existing vaccines that can give them a chance at healthy and productive lives. The long-term investment by the United States in vaccines for children is effective, provides great value for the money and is the right thing to do." — Retired U.S. senator Richard Lugar (R-IN)
