April 2024: FY25 global poverty appropriations

As the 118th Congress looks at its spending plan for fiscal year 2025 (FY25), it’s time to tell them what their priorities should be. As a leader in global health and development, the United States must prioritize maternal and child health and nutrition, basic education, and global tuberculosis programs. Use this action sheet (Word version) to make your global poverty appropriations requests today!

April 2024: Protect and strengthen SNAP in the Farm Bill

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is America’s most effective tool at reducing hunger. SNAP serves nearly 40 million people each month. Despite its effectiveness, it is constantly under threat of cuts from opponents in Congress. Such cuts would result in more people falling into poverty.

As Congress contemplates a new Farm Bill, please write letters today urging congressional leaders to protect and strengthen SNAP in Farm Bill negotiations.
