June 2023: Ask Congress to Co-sponsor the End Tuberculosis Now Act

This summer, we are calling on Congress to co-sponsor the End Tuberculosis (TB) Now Act (S.288, H.R. 1776). This important legislation addresses the world’s second leading infectious killer, a killer that disproportionately affects communities experiencing poverty and marginalization. TB is not a thing of the past; it is a driver of poverty today. We must act, especially in advance of a UN High-Level Meeting on TB to be held this fall. (Word version)

May 2023: Help renters stay housed with a Renter Tax Credit

The U.S. tax code provides numerous tax breaks to help American homeowners, but almost nothing to the 44 million people who rent. With rent prices ever increasing and housing assistance programs unable to meet demand, a Renter Tax Credit would help low to moderate incomes to stay housed. Write letters to your members of Congress urging them to use the tax code to help renters with a Renter Tax Credit. (Word version)
