Quick Action

Take Action: We Need House Members to Cosponsor H.Res. 466 on Global Education

Gather 'Round on Saturday for the National Webinar

Bring your fellow advocates together for the September National Grassroots Webinar featuring Lisa Bender, Education in Emergencies Lead at UNICEF, who will be our special guest. Saturday, September 9 at 2 pm ET. Login: http://fuze.me/30204806. Or to join by phone only, dial (201) 479-4595, meeting ID 30204806.

Leading with Action: Ask Your Rep. to Support Global Education Through H.Res. 466

Use our online action to ask your representative to cosponsor House Resolution 466, "Supporting the role of the United States in promoting children's access to quality education in the poorest countries through the Global Partnership for Education (GPE)."

Thanks to your incredible advocacy, there are currently 20 cosponsors (including originator Rep. David Reichert of Washington state) on H.Res. 466 supporting the Global Partnership for Education. Is your representative on the list? Reach out to them now that August recess is over and let us know. Can we achieve 150 cosponsors, including 50 Republicans?

Current House Cosponsors: Reichert, Clay, Conyers, DelBene, Donovan, Fitzpatrick, Gallego, Heck, Herrera Beutler, Holmes Norton, Larsen, Lewis, Lowey, Messer, Napolitano, Ross, Ryan, Soto, Thompson, Yarmuth

New! Our new fact sheet offers even more background on the resolution.

Fall is the Perfect Time for an Outreach Meeting

You've got inspiring tales of empowerment and success to tell, and people will want to be part of what you're up to. Plus, we're making our way toward our 2017 goal of 500 outreach events. From setting up a coffee with a prospective advocate to a full outreach event, use your creativity to share about the "Voices That Change the World." Use the July Action Sheet and companion meeting guide if you want to write your members of Congress about the Global Partnership for Education. Or use the new August Action Sheet and companion meeting guide if you'd like to take action by writing your local paper. The September Action Sheet will be available by the end of the week via our website.

In addition, we're working to craft the October national grassroots webinar so that it will be an easy and appealing gathering to invite new folks to. More information soon.
