I’m 85 years old, and I became an advocate for the first time last year. Some people say I’m too old to make an impact, and I should just focus on myself. But I have so many stories and experiences to share. I believe you’re never too old to learn and create change.
April is National Fair Housing Month, commemorating the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968. This landmark legislation prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, religion, sex, disability, family status, or national origin.

Leaders in Congress are working on a new economic recovery proposal they hope to pass in the next few weeks. This legislation is a once in a generation opportunity to significantly reduce poverty in America. The House is moving forward with significant investments in housing and the EITC/CTC.
