Anti-Oppression 201: Structural Racism

March 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

In this intermediate-level workshop, we will move from self-focused, reflective learning to understanding how social structures are based on white privilege and stereotypes in the U.S. We will reflect on how our identified biases and stereotypes may contribute to practices that contribute to structural racism. Join us for Anti-Oppression 201: Structural Racism.

Prerequisites: It is recommended to attend Diversity & Inclusion 101 or have some significant background in anti-racism and implicit bias work before attending this workshop.

Facilitator: Dr. Christina Gunther, EdD, volunteers with the RESULTS Coastal Connecticut group and is an assistant professor and chair of the Health Sciences Department at Sacred Heart University.

Note: RESULTS anti-oppression meetings, workshops, and webinars are not recorded, so we encourage you to attend if you register. The Anti-Oppression workshops listed above limit 40 participants per session. Please register to reserve your spot!
