We’ll be celebrating 40 years of RESULTS in 2020. The RESULTS International Conference (June 20-23) will be an excellent opportunity to connect with changemakers from over the decades. We encourage you to seek out friends and make time to get together while in DC, and to connect over social media even if you aren’t going to be in DC. Here are some suggestions on how to do that:
Connect with RESULTS Volunteers via our RESULTS Volunteer Facebook page or your personal connections. Let folks know that you’d like to get advocates together from a particular decade, time period, or geographic area. See who is interested. For people who are not currently part of the RESULTS Volunteer Facebook group, encourage them to join it and connect with others.
Find a time to get together for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night fun that is not during the conference program.
If you are creating an event that is open to others, let us know about it on this form no later than June 1. We’ll share a list of open events on this webpage as we know about them and at the registration table at the conference.
We encourage you to organize your gathering outside of the hotel as we do not have meeting rooms available during the conference (and the hotel food and beverages are quite expensive). Some locations to consider are: museums, restaurants, cafes, bars, parks. Find a specific list of nearby locations to consider here.
Make the most of being together in-person in DC. You’ve changed the world together—what greater bond can there be?
