We Did It! Over $57,000 Raised in Road to Rio Fundraising Challenge

This April we asked you to join our Road to Rio Fundraising Challenge to help us raise $50,000 to support the critical work of our volunteer advocates around the country who are using their voices to create the political will to end poverty. Last week, we exceeded that goal!

We couldn’t have done this without you. Fifty of you signed up as individual fundraisers or joined together as fundraising teams – garnering over 300 donations – and together we raised $42,403. This allowed us to unlock a $15,000 matching gift, and all told raise over $57,000 for RESULTS.

This is incredible.

Thank you so much to everyone who stepped up to this challenge – making generous donations yourselves, and asking your friends and family to join you with their support.

RESULTS Executive Director Joanne Carter wanted to express her thanks to you directly. Watch her video message.

Every year 3.1 million children die because of undernutrition, but we can help change that. We launched the Road to Rio Challenge in part to raise awareness about global malnutrition in the lead up to a gathering of key leaders in the Nutrition for Growth movement on the eve of the Olympic Games. Last week, these leaders joined together in Rio de Janeiro to highlight progress toward ending global malnutrition and point the way forward.

At RESULTS, we are committed to creating a world where no child – in the US or around the world – is held back because of malnutrition. Learn more about the Nutrition for Growth movement to fight against malnutrition and its lifelong effects on millions of children around the world.

Thank you for all you do.
