Summertime, and the Outreach is Easy

May 12, 2016
by Kristy Martino, U.S. Poverty Grassroots Organizer

RESULTS is always working to expand our grassroots network of volunteer advocates who raise their voices across the United States to end poverty here and around the world. The more voices we have, the bigger the impact we can make! Summer can be a valuable time to have great conversations with your friends and neighbors on porches, at farmer’s markets, and more. Why not tell them a bit more about RESULTS?

We are specifically looking for activists interested in getting involved with our U.S. poverty campaign work in North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oregon, Wisconsin, Arizona, and South Dakota (although we welcome people from other states as well). Contact U.S. Poverty Organizer Kristy Martino ([email protected]) if you know anyone in these areas.

Global poverty expansion staff are so close to reaching their 2016 goal of having RESULTS chapters in all 50 states! Our focus is on: Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Wyoming, West Virginia, and New Hampshire. If you know anyone in these areas that might be interested, please connect them with Amanda Beals, Global Grassroots Expansion Manager. You can read more about our 50 states goal here.

Here are a few specific ways to get others involved:

Invite Someone to a RESULTS Intro Call

RESULTS holds bi-monthly 30 minute Introductory Calls to teach new people about RESULTS and how to get involved. It is a great way for new people to see if RESULTS is something they want to do. Invite someone you know to our next call! People can register for an upcoming call at: https://results.org/take_action/become_a_results_activist/#Introductory%20Call.

Connect to Our Expansion Staff Directly

Perhaps you know someone you want to connect to RESULTS one-on-one. While everyone who attends an Intro Call gets personal follow-up from RESULTS staff, you may know someone who would prefer to talk to a staff person first. We’re happy to do that. Contact U.S. Poverty Organizer Kristy Martino ([email protected]) or Global Grassroots Expansion Manager Amanda Beals ([email protected]) to set up an introduction.
