As our Gavi Replenishment Campaign kicks into high gear, media coverage is one of the best advocacy tools we have to secure a $1 billion pledge to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance from the Obama administration. While volunteers all over the country work to attract media attention in their hometowns, two groups of volunteers joined RESULTS staff for intensive media  trainings to lead the charge.

At two trainings in Seattle and Houston, over 30 volunteers hailing from 18 different states came together to learn the best strategies for attracting media coverage. Seasoned RESULTS volunteers and new RESULTS advocates came together with a single goal: to make as much noise in the media about Gavi as possible!  Since the trainings, these volunteers have been hard at work getting editorial board meetings for our latest media tour, placing op-eds, and building relationships with their local outlets that will benefit us beyond this campaign for years to come.
