Moment. Momentum. Movement.

On behalf of RESULTS and the Tavis Smiley Foundation, we want to personally thank you for choosing to participate in our Virtual Town Hall on April 29th.  The speakers, including author and RESULTS Board member Marianne Williamson and Angela Sutton from Witness to Hunger, provided insight as well as some actionable and practical tools for addressing an issue that nearly 50 million men, women, and children across our nation face daily.

During the call, we spoke about the three M’s:  Moment. Momentum. Movement. The virtual town hall was a spectacular moment. With your continued help, we can ensure this momentum doesn’t wane. We invite you to help inspire a movement by becoming a RESULTS activist, where you can learn to become a powerful advocate for the end of poverty starting now, and by working with Ending Poverty: America’s Silent Spaces, the Tavis Smiley Foundation’s four-year national initiative to examine barriers, identify solutions, and engage those who suffer the most from poverty to become stronger advocates to alleviate domestic poverty.

If you were not able to participate in the call or would like to listen again, you can listen to a recording at: http://www.tavissmileyradio.com/virtual-town-hall-ending-poverty-americas-silent-spaces/ Together, we can raise our voices and inspire action from communities, organizations, corporations, and concerned individuals like each of you.

To that end, we hope you’ll join us for the RESULTS/RESULTS Educational Fund 2014 International Conference, June 21-24, in Washington, DC (the registration rate is only $199 until May 17).  We’ll continue the conversation on June 21 and we hope you will be there. The more people we have in this moment to fight poverty, the stronger our collective momentum will be, and the more impact our movement will have on alleviating the unnecessary suffering of our fellow citizens.
