How Much Do YOU Think We Spend on Foreign Aid?

New poll results show that when 846 Americans were asked how much of the federal budget they think goes to foreign assistance, the median answer was 25 percent! And how much do they think should go? The median response was 10 percent. The actual number? About 1 percent.

The Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) first asked them in 1995, and the consistent answer to how much we spend is around 20 percent.
