The Global Poverty Project’s mission is to inspire people to do something about global poverty. They whip up audiences about the problems of poverty and give them ideas about what they can do to be a part of the solution. They don’t really offer a specific long-term, involvement opportunities, like getting involved with RESULTS, but that’s where we come in. Our colleagues in Australia and the UK have worked with GPP and have had some good success. Here is the opportunity:

  • Opportunity #1: Sign up to host a GPP presentation in your community. They are looking for venues of 100-150 people and your local connections. They’ll make the presentation and tailor it for people in your community to get involved in RESULTS and/or other partner organizations you might be working with. They do the outreach meeting, you get people to join you.
  • Opportunity #2: Contact GPP about a presentation already scheduled in your community and ask them to be a part of it via tabling or getting people to take an action.
